She’s like a field of wildflowers, beautiful, untamed.
Beneath the veil of snow, I know she still remains.
She’s like the sun, rays of warmth and loving.
Waiting patiently, to be washed clean by spring rains.
Spring appears in whispers
and hushed tones,
as the bellowing winter bows away.
Drowsy flowers come to attention,
waking from their sleep- yawning;
with heads turned upward towards the sun-
